Allotments for Leisure
Lawson Road Allotments are based in Blackpool (North West of England) and have been providing plots for local residence since the 1940's - a premier site for the enthusiastic gardener with over 90 plots on site. With running water available on site, sheds and greenhouses allowed on plots, on site parking and toilets this makes joining our allotment a must and with plenty of social gatherings and events too. Lawson Road Allotments is a member of the Blackpool Federation of Allotment Associations (website coming soon)If you decide to join us, you too will gain access to various events and, most importantly, to a group of like-minded individuals who are just as passionate about 'growing stuff' as you are.

JUBILEE FLOWER DISPLAY
May/June 2022
This year our Queen celebrates her Platinum Jubilee and Lawson Road Allotments wants to help celebrate this occasion by setting up a display of flowers etc to this momentous occasion.
OPEN DAY
August 7th 2022
This is the day we open our site to the general public. Come and 'Walk the Plots', listen to music, be entertained, take in refreshments, buy produce, try your luck on the tombola, raffle and auction.
BFAA PRODUCE SHOW
27th & 28th August 2022
The BFAA Produce Show allows plot holders from Allotment Sites in Blackpool to compete against each other to show their best produce they have grown in the season. It also has catagories for Home Baking, Arts and Crafts, Flowers etc. It will be held at the Blackpool Stanley Park Tourist Information Centre
SANTA'S GROTTO
December 2022 (TBA)
Bring along your little ones to see Santa and his helpers...he will be in his grotto in the Poly Tunnel at Gate 2.

HOW LONG IS THE WAITING LIST TO BE OFFERED A PLOT?
Times vary. Of course it all depends on availability. You might be told when you apply.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO RENT A PLOT?
It depends on the size of the plot offered to you. Rent is payed yearly and is surprisingly affordable. All fees will be discussed with you on your interest in a plot.
HOW DO I APPLY FOR A PLOT?
Simply fill in the APPLICATION FORM
Please be aware that no acknowledgement email will be sent. You will be put straight on to the waiting list and you will only be contacted when plot/s become available and you will be invited for a viewing.
DOES THE SITE HAVE RUNNING WATER?
Yes, the site does have running water but we also encourage plot holders to have water butts on their plots.
ARE SHEDS AND GREENHOUSES ALLOWED ON PLOTS?
Yes. If you are supplied with a plot with no shed or greenhouse you must apply to the office for permission to erect either or both.
WHEN IS THE SITE OPEN?
Lawson Road Allotments are open 365 days of the year, Dawn to Dusk. For your own safety we do not allow people on site after dark.
WHEN CAN I APPLY FOR A PLOT?
You can apply for a plot any time of the year. Rental period is from 1st April to 31st March
